Dulux Acratex Render & Texture Systems
Dulux Acratex separates its facade range into bag renders, textures, membrane topcoats and preparation products. A finished Acratex wall can therefore include cementitious and acrylic layers in the same specification. Selecting the full sequence makes quotations easier to compare.
Product ranges and their roles
RenderWall and base preparation
RenderWall, RenderWallPLUS and AcraPro are base-render families. AcraPatch grades deal with preparation and patching. Individual render grades can have state-specific availability, so the NSW product name needs to be confirmed.
Acrylic textures
Coventry, Tuscany, Sienna and Mediterranean are texture names within the Acratex range. Grain, application method and the sample finish should be agreed together with the required primer and base.
Protective topcoats
AcraShield, Acraskin and AcraGuard are different coating selections. A protective membrane topcoat is a separate system stage from the levelling render and decorative texture beneath it.
Venetian Plaster and AcraStone
The decorative collections need their own specifications. Current AcraStone Base Coat and Finish Coat use water-based epoxy technology; they should not be described simply as traditional cement-based microcement or mixed with older Creativo instructions.
Choosing a system for your wall
For a facade quote, identify the render grade, patching, primer, texture and topcoat rather than asking only for “Acratex”. If considering AcraStone, confirm the location and substrate; its manufacturer limits exterior applications to suitable covered areas. Decorative finish selection does not establish wet-area waterproofing.
